Pioneer tea on the Southern Plains of Texas tasted a bit different from the glamorous tea parlors of New York City, but it tasted just as good! Come sip your way through pioneer tea history at the Goodnight Ranch on Saturday, April 4th, at 11 am. Enjoy this FREE, public event and stay for a self-guided tour of the historic Goodnight Home!

Burning on the Brazos

On March 29th, 1836, the town of San Felipe de Austin was set aflame by its own citizens as a defensive tactic against the Mexican Army. In the weeks leading up to this, the town played a significant role in the war with Mexico. Learn about the chain of events that ultimately led to the town's destruction.
