Join us on Saturday, April 6th as we commemorate the burning of the town of San Felipe de Austin.

On March 29th, 1836, the town of San Felipe de Austin was ordered to be burned as a defensive tactic against the Mexican army and Santa Anna marching their way across Texas. The town had to be evacuated and families ferried across the Brazos River in a matter of hours.

Come visit us as we discuss the preparation of the evacuation, the military, special presentations, living history, and hands-on activities. Appropriate for all ages!

The event begins on Saturday, April 6th at 9am. The story starts here, at San Felipe de Austin!
