Sunday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.The Grayson County Amateur Radio Club will be hosting its national field day event. This is a national amateur radio exercise. Grayson County Amateur Radio Club has been operating for more than 30 years. The event is ARRL Field Day (www.arrl.org/field-day), an annual amateur radio activity organized since 1933 by ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio in the United States. Members will try to make as many contacts as possible in as many states and provinces as possible. The public is welcome to come by, observe, and learn!
SPARK! Scenes From San Jacinto
Tuesday 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.See the sights, smells, flora, and fauna of the San Jacinto Battleground from the comfort of the Jesse H. Jones theatre. You also can create your own diorama of the sights of the San Jacinto Battleground to take home! SPARK! is a free program for caregivers and loved ones experiencing beginning to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss.

Friday 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.Livingston the Lion, Sam Long's childhood toy, and the Maxey House staff invite children to bring a favorite stuffed animal, doll, or action figure to the Maxey House for a special sleepover designed just for the toys!

Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.Learn about a variety of ways that buttons were made in the 1820s and 1830s, and try your hand at making one to take home! There will be Dorset buttons, thread wrapped (or Death's head) buttons, and even fabric wrapped buttons! There is a button for every skill level!

Weapons and Wounds of the Texas Revolution with Dr. Richard Bruce Winders
Saturday 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.Join Dr. Richard Bruce Winders for an in-depth exploration of the weaponry used during the Texas Revolution. Drawing from the technology of 18th- and 19th-century warfare, Dr. Winders will examine the arms carried into battle and the devastating injuries they inflicted.
