Come and Give It Blood Drive

Sunday 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

We are pairing with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to host a "Come and Give It!" blood donation event. Join us in the mobile donation center by the San Jacinto Monument on April 5th from 1 PM to 4 PM.

Cycling Saturdays

Saturday 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.

The roads within the San Jacinto State Historic Site will open early for bicyclists. Travel our 7.5 miles of site roads and see the battleground where Texas was won at your own pace. No motorized vehicles will be allowed into the site during this time to promote safe bicycling.

Burning on the Brazos

Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

On March 29th, 1836, the town of San Felipe de Austin was set aflame by its own citizens as a defensive tactic against the Mexican Army. In the weeks leading up to this, the town played a significant role in the war with Mexico. Learn about the chain of events that ultimately led to the town's destruction.

Please join us for two presentations focusing on the Military Medicine of the 1836 Goliad Campaign by renowned US Army Medical Historian and Author Scott C Woodard. Mr Woodward will give two presentations on April 11th, one at 11am and one at 3pm.

San Jacinto School Day 2026

Friday 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Road to San Jacinto School Day Event will be held on Friday, April 17th from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm. This is a memorable, education-focused event that will include real life demonstrations of many day-to-day activities as they were in 1836, the time of the Battle of San Jacinto.

San Jacinto Day Celebration 2026

Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

On Saturday, April 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the 2025 San Jacinto Day Celebration, presented by the San Jacinto Museum and the Texas Historical Commission, will be a day of fun, reenactments, and living history activities celebrating the 189th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto. Reenactors dressed in period clothing will make the epic events of April 1836 come alive, and reenactments throughout the day will recreate the dramatic events that led to one of the most decisive and impactful military victories in the history of North America.
