Landmark Inn offers eight rooms and four different suite combinations for overnight accommodation, plus facility rental spaces for private events.
The historic room sizes are similar to modern expectations for "tiny hotel rooms." Each room is quite intimate. The Inn is located near September Square and Castroville's Historic Commercial District.

Hotel rooms have: One queen-size bed, antique wardrobes, hair dryer, basic toiletries, WiFi, climate control, access to common spaces on the veranda, patio, parlor, ice machine, five-acre park-like setting with short hiking trails along the Medina River, river access for fishing, and free parking.
At-grade access only into rooms 1, 7, and 8. Private bathrooms only in rooms 1 and 4
Hotel rooms do not have: Televisions, telephones, coffeemakers, refrigerators, roll out beds, room service, overnight front desk service, vending machines, or transportation to or from San Antonio International Airport.

Room #1 – First Floor, Vance Hotel
Cool, white walls and a high ceiling with open cypress beams welcome you to this first-floor bedroom, which features furnishings sympathetic to the 1850s, including wood-style tile floors, a spacious wardrobe, desk, and nightstand. The room includes a private bathroom.

Room #2 – Second Floor, Vance Hotel
This corner room with two windows is located upstairs on the far southwest end of the Vance Hotel. It features furnishings and décor sympathetic to the late 1800s, such as warmly painted walls, comfortable carpeting in scarlet and red, a wardrobe, and nightstand. A short hallway leads to the bathroom, which is shared with Room 3. Guests can enjoy beautiful scenery while relaxing on the porch in rocking chairs.

Room #3 – Second Floor, Vance Hotel
This spacious room with a window over Florence Street is located upstairs on the southwest end of the Vance Hotel. It features furnishings and décor sympathetic to the late 1800s, such as warmly painted walls, comfortable carpeting in scarlet and red, a wardrobe, dresser, and nightstand. A side door leads to the bathroom, which is shared with Room 2. Guests can enjoy beautiful scenery while relaxing on the porch in rocking chairs.

Room #4 – Second Floor, Vance Hotel
This spacious room is our finest. It has a window over Florence Street and is located centrally at the head of the stairs on the second floor of Vance Hotel. It features furnishings and décor sympathetic to the late 1800s, such as warmly painted walls, comfortable carpeting in scarlet and gold, a wardrobe, dresser, and nightstand. This room features a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy beautiful scenery while relaxing on the porch in rocking chairs.

Room #5 – Second Floor, Vance Hotel
This corner room with two windows is located upstairs on the northwest end of the Vance Hotel overlooking Florence and Fiorella streets. It features furnishings and décor sympathetic to the late 1800s, such as warmly painted walls, comfortable carpeting in tan and black, a wardrobe, and nightstand. A short hallway leads to the bathroom, which is shared with Room 6. Guests can enjoy beautiful scenery while relaxing on the porch in rocking chairs.

Room #6 – Second Floor, Vance Hotel
This unique room is located upstairs on the northern end of the Vance Hotel overlooking Old Fiorella Street. It features furnishings and décor sympathetic to the late 1800s, such as warmly painted walls, comfortable carpeting in tan and black, a wardrobe, and nightstand. A short hallway leads to the bathroom, which is shared with Room 6. Guests can enjoy beautiful scenery while relaxing on the porch in rocking chairs.

Room #7 – Ground Floor, Vance House
This room is furnished to be sympathetic to the period 1920-1940 when the Lawler family arrived on site and began making renovations and improvements. It features pine floors, a comfortable rug, dresser, and nightstand as well as a nice view of the river bottom and mill dam. Across the hallway is the bathroom that is shared with Room #8. The Riverside Parlor is available as a sitting area for all guests staying at the inn.

Full Inn Rental Vance Hotel & House, Rooms #1-8
All eight rooms of Landmark Inn may be rented all together at a reduced rate. Book a full-inn rental well in advance to ensure availability.

Vance House Basement
This room is available for day-use facility rentals and an ideal venue for parties, meetings, showers, or receptions. The conference room features a spacious room with exposed beams and rafters with hand-hewn cypress support columns. The mill dam and river bottom are visible through double French doors. Tables and chairs included.

Riverside Parlor – Vance House, Ground Floor
The Vance House parlor is the commons area onsite where all guests may engage in fellowship after hours. The space is also available for day-use rental depending on site scheduling. Antique tables and chairs offer ample seating alongside buffets and China cabinets. Views of the gristmill, river bottom, and mill dam can be enjoyed from the parlor balcony or patio.

- Patio on the west side of the house features wrought-iron tables and chairs for pleasant mornings outdoors
- Day rental of entire Vance House (parlor, two rooms, restroom, and kitchenette), rate is $450

The grounds at Landmark Inn may be rented for after-hours private events. Rentals during business hours may be made, but must accommodate regular operations.
Landmark Inn is the ideal location for private parties, receptions, and outdoor wedding ceremonies.
Several boutique locations are flexible for multiple needs and uses.

- The flat ground is ideal for dances, fairs, receptions, and more
- Convenient to the on-street parking along Florence Street and the public restrooms
- People learning Alsatian dancing in the shade of the grove at Landmark Inn State Historic Site
Mill West
- Our most intimate setting popular with weddings, military retirements, and other ceremonies
- Long and narrow field under old-growth trees is sheltered nicely from Texas winds
- Adjacent to the 1854 Haass-Quintle Mill
Medina Meadow
- The large grassy grounds are adjacent to the iconic 1854 dam
- Shady generally during morning hours and full sun in the afternoon
- Served by the old road from the Medina River Ford up the hill to the city
- This outdoor space closest to the 20-stall parking lot
The Island
- Our venue most secluded from the hubbub of highways and modern intrusions
- Large forest-and-meadow alluvial plain between the Medina River and the mill's tail race
- Superb open spaces are ideal for large scale games, gatherings, fairs, and more
- The Island has a number of short and shady trails to stroll

Reservations
Landmark Inn State Historic Site is staffed during regular business hours.
The historic hotel functions are part of the learning program of the site. Overnight stays provide an immersive learning experience for unique insights to the past. The front desk is staffed during regular business hours (if you need extra items, please plan ahead).
Reservations must be placed at least two days in advance. We are generally unable to accept same-day reservations. Reservations cannot be accepted outside of regular business hours.
No more than two people may stay overnight per room. Additional people arriving with your party will need their own room. Depending on availability, Landmark Inn may not have an additional room. Surcharges may apply.
Reservations for individual rooms require a nonrefundable and non-transferable deposit of one half plus tax. The other half plus tax is due upon arrival.
Full Inn or event reservations require a deposit of all charges due in full at the time of reservation and are nonrefundable and non-transferable. Event reservations must complete the Event Agreement Form.
Refunds of deposits can only be issued due to a weather event or other unforeseen circumstances at the site. Unforeseen circumstances for the reservation-holder are not the responsibility of the Landmark Inn State Historic Site. Forfeited deposits enable the State of Texas to care for its historic resources and compensate the public for loss of access to the historic resource during the reserved time period. Cancellations
Cancellations will result in loss of deposit.
No Smoking Policy
Landmark Inn State Historic Site does not allow smoking anywhere on the historic site, including the grounds, except in the designated area of the parking lot. A surcharge of $250 will be assessed to any guest room that has evidence of smoking.
Pet Policy
No pets are allowed overnight at the Landmark Inn State Historic Site. Pets are allowed on the grounds during daylight hours provided they are leashed and their owners clean up after them.
