Should you miss this application period, our Undertold marker application period will be open from October 1 - November 15, 2026. Our next regular marker application period will be March 1, 2027 - May 15, 2027.

Historic Texas Cemetery Name & Date Plaque Applications (accepted year round)

An Historic Texas Cemetery designation is a prerequisite for a cemetery marker. If your cemetery has been designated as historic through our Cemetery Preservation program and you wish to purchase a non-interpretive historical plaque, then you can submit an online application using our Marker Portal here:
