Texas Archeology Day at the Maxey House (Afternoon)

October is Texas Archeology Month! Join us on October 7 at 10:00 and 2:00 pm as we appreciate our history with FREE activities for kids including including:

• Artifact Sorting: How do archeologists decide when people lived based on what they left behind? In this hands-on activity, participants will investigate an “archaeological site” to excavate the site and record artifacts they find.
• Maxey House Artifact Matching Game: Match photos of actual Maxey House archeology artifacts!
• Pinch Pots: This is an archeology activity classic! Go home with your very own pot made at the Maxey House.
