Excited for the solar eclipse on October 14th? Join us on Saturday, October 14th at 10am in the Nature Center at Stephen F. Austin State Park (located one mile west of San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site) for a presentation on the last solar eclipse to shadow our area: February 12th, 1831. Taking place in the prime of the town of San Felipe de Austin learn about the solar eclipse’s path, excitement from around the country, and viewing techniques prior to our modern eclipse glasses.
The program will include an informational presentation as well as eclipse-focused activities for children. This event is included with the price of admission!
Admission to Stephen F. Austin State Park required. Texas State Park Pass holders admitted free of charge!
