Foraging class

This fall is a great time for Foraging with Merriwether!

Caddo Mounds State Historic Site invites you to a foraging workshop with Mark “Merriwether” Vorderbruggen. Mark writes the Foraging Texas Blog, http://www.foragingtexas.com/, and is a practiced forager and teacher. His book Foraging: Explore Nature's Bounty and Turn Your Foraged Finds Into Flavorful Feasts (Outdoor Adventure Guides) was published in 2022. Make sure to bring your copy or pick one up at our gift shop to have Mark sign while you are here!

This workshop is sponsored by the Friends of Caddo Mounds, Inc.
There is a $70.00 charge for this four-hour foraging experience. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS UNLESS THE CLASS IS CANCELED!
Space is limited (18), and the program fee must be paid in advance. Call 936-858-3221 to hold your space. You may pay by cash or check at Caddo Mounds State Historic Site, mail your check to Caddo Mounds SHS, 1649 State Hwy 21 west, Alto, Texas, or pay via the Friends of Caddo Mounds Pay Pal account (you must call to hold your spot before you pay). The class is recommended for 12 and older. There are no discounts for young attendees.

Be prepared to hike. We recommend closed-toed shoes, water, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a notepad & pencil.
If this class fills and there is enough interest, then we will open an afternoon session.
