The Maxey House is thrilled to be a participating museum of Nickelodeon's Our World: Worldwide Day of Play. Come to the Maxey House on September 30 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm to enjoy an afternoon of yard games, scavenger hunts, and Victorian toy crafts!
The event is FREE!!

The Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site invites city of Paris Public Works and Public Utilities to visit the Maxey House! Join us for a special tour of the Maxey House between Saturday, October 7 and Friday, October 13 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at no cost to you*. Site hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

October is Texas Archeology Month! Join us on October 7 at 10:00 and 2:00 pm as we appreciate our history with FREE activities for kids including including:
Artifact Sorting: How do archeologists decide when people lived based on what they left behind? In this hands-on activity, participants will investigate an “archaeological site” to excavate the site and record artifacts they find....
