Quilt Hop
Friday 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.Tour the Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site this Quilt Hop to see historic quilts and learn how to quilt a potholder! The Rayburn House is free to tour on these days, but only the quilt display areas on the first floor will be available to view during the Quilt Hop. Our quilts this year are from the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site collection. For anyone interested in learning some quilting basics, we will offer a quilting lesson. With the purchase of one of our Beginning Quilting Kits from our site store and an additional $5.00 fee for the lesson, you can learn how to quilt a potholder for a total cost of $20.14. These lessons will be available on both days while supplies last and on a first-come, first-served basis.
