Join us for the 40th Annual Goliad Massacre & Living History Program celebrating the 190th Anniversary of the Goliad Massacre on March 28th and 29th 2026. This annual event features a battle reenactment on Saturday, camp life demonstrations, and a candle light tour on Saturday night. More detail to follow!

Texas Revolution Reenactor Jerry McMahon visits Presidio La Bahia and sets up in our Museum regularly to share his wealth of historical research. Free with paid admission to the museum. Please join us for two presentations focusing on the Military Medicine of the 1836 Goliad Campaign by renowned US Army Medical Historian and Author Scott C Woodard. Mr Woodward will give two presentations on April 11th, one at 11am and one at 3pm.

In Order of Providence; the Burial of Fannin's Command

Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Join us as we commemorate the buiral of the 342 men of Fannin's Command who were massacred on March 27th 1836 by the Mexican Army and buried on June 3rd 1836 by the Texas Army under Thomas Jefferson Rusk. This event will feature a memorial to the men, and a recreation of the Military Funeral honors given to these men. Detailed Schedule to follow.
