The French Legation State Historic Site invites the public to gather on its historic grounds for a series of free FIFA World Cup 2026 Playoff Watch Parties, bringing the excitement of the global tournament to the heart of Austin. Mexico vs. Ecuador!

Beginning June 30, the French Legation will host select evening playoff matches on a 30’ outdoor inflatable screen, creating a shared viewing experience that celebrates international culture and community connection in a unique historic setting.

Set beneath open skies and shaded by mature trees, these special evenings combine the energy of the World Cup with the relaxed charm of one of Austin’s most scenic historic spaces. Guests can spread out on the lawn, feel the breeze from the site’s large outdoor drum fans, and enjoy the matches together in a welcoming, community-centered setting. Refreshments available for purchase in the Visitor Center include snacks and drinks.

Let us know you're coming by filling our our form.

Space is limited to the first 250 people on a first-come first-served basis for entry. Only service animals are allowed during this after-hours event.

Watch parties are free but please consider supporting French Legation State Historic Site either through a donation or purchasing concessions while onsite.
