Tia's Art Corner
Wednesday, June 10th
9 - 11 a.m.
$10 per person
Make time each month for creativity, reflection, and hands-on artistic practice. Held on the second Wednesday, this welcoming art series invites adults to explore a variety of media while building skills and confidence in their creative voice.
Inspired by the legacy of Octavia “Tia” Magoffin Glasgow, who championed art as a powerful tool for expression and empowerment, each 90-minute session is guided by educator Machelle Wood and highlights a different medium or technique. Participants are encouraged to experiment, refine their style, and create meaningful work in a supportive, community-centered environment. You will leave each session with a finished piece of art of your own.
Whether you are an experienced artist or just beginning your creative journey, this program offers a space to learn, create, and connect.
In June, we are using wax crayon, watercolor, and marker to create an abstracted still life on 8 x 10 inch cold-pressed watercolor paper.
The cost is $10 per session, payable in advance. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
