The Road to San Jacinto School Day Event will be held on Friday, April 25th from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm.

This is a memorable, education-focused event that will include real life demonstrations of many day-to-day activities as they were in 1836, the time of the Battle of San Jacinto.

Reenactors in period clothing will be on hand to bring history to life for your students and help them engage with and learn from history!

All activities will take place outside the Monument and will be hands-on learning experiences for all attendees!

Cartridge Box Making

Yellow Rose Flower Making activity

Dress Like a Frontiersmen using replica costumes

Explore Badges, Buckles, and Buttons of the Texas Revolution

Flag Making

and many more!

Activities are free for all schools who wish to attend. Admission to the Museum is not included with this event.

 

Reservations are required and there are limited spots available so book now! School groups should arrive at their allotted time slot to ensure smooth arrivals and enough time for everyone to enjoy all activities. If school groups arrive early, they will be expected to wait until their designated time.
