Volunteers have an opportunity to make a real difference at the Palmito Ranch Battlefield State Historic Site by installing new interpretive panels and other site improvements so that the gates can open to the public. Get a behind-the-scenes update of battlefield interpretive effort and recent improvements. Volunteers will also receive a free Park Day bandana!

Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park

Participants are encouraged to proceed from Park Day to Palo Alto Battlefield NHP to learn more about the U.S.-Mexican War, 1846-1848.

Brownsville Museums

Participants are encouraged to proceed to the museums of the Brownsville Historical Association.
