Mini Exhibit: Joseph Magoffin Portrait at El Paso County Courthouse

The County of El Paso has generously offered to loan their original portrait of Joseph Magoffin to the International Museum of Art as part of the Octavia Magoffin Glasgow and Leola Freeman Art Retrospective that will be on display beginning October 25th, 2025. During that time period, the Magoffin Home’s portrait of El Paso’s four time mayor will be displayed in its place, alongside a small panel describing the Magoffin Home and Mayor Magoffin’s role as the “Father of El Paso.”
This event is part of a greater celebration, Our America, Our Texas, Our El Paso, an America250 art history series presented by the Magoffin Home State Historic Site and the County of El Paso.
