Kids Cooking Class: Celebrating the Cultures that Built El Paso

-Flourless Chocolate Cake

A cooking class series just for kids (ages 6–11)

Join us as we savor history through foods in El Paso! Modern El Paso is a blend of many communities’ traditions, and we are experiencing them one dish at a time. Celebrate Passover with a delicious dessert that’s rich in flavor and full of tradition! In this hands-on class, kids will create their own flourless chocolate cake, a naturally gluten-free treat that’s perfect for the holiday. Flourless cakes have long been a favorite during Passover, when leavened breads and cakes are set aside in honor of tradition. This chocolatey dessert proves you don’t need flour to make something amazing!

The cost is $10 per child. All ingredients are provided. Please call (915) 533-5147 to register in advance as space is limited.

This event is part of a greater celebration, Our America, Our Texas, Our El Paso, an America250 food history series presented by the Magoffin Home State Historic Site.

This event is presented as part of Texas America250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
