In 1859, Sallie McNeill, the granddaughter of Levi Jordan, started writing her diary. She was unaware that it would become a crucial primary source of information about life on the Levi Jordan Plantation.
In this workshop, you will discover the importance of Sallie’s diary, learn about education before and after emancipation, use historic inks, make a quill pen, and be inspired to start recording your own story!
