One of the favorite holidays for the Bush Family Home State Historic Site is Presidents’ Day. Although the holiday is a combined celebration of George Washington’s and Abraham Lincoln’s birthdays, we’ve extended our commemoration to include all past presidents!

On Saturday, February 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join us in celebrating presidential history. Free admission for kids and adults to participate in the following activities: take pictures or pretend to give speeches at the presidential podium; kids and adult presidential trivia, including prizes; presidential games and coloring sheets; “If I were President” activity; and crafts activity for kids to make a presidential face mask.  We welcome all who would like to celebrate Presidents’ Day with us!

Site Manager Troy Gray said, “We are so excited to plan an event that will be fun for the whole family. Of the 45 different men that became president, Midland can claim two.”

The Bush Family Home State Historic Site is located at 1412 West Ohio St. in Midland. The hours for the home are: Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; the last tour begins at 4:15 p.m. Learn more:
