Blacksmithing was an essential part of building a community on the frontiers of Texas. During this event guests will get to learn about the fundamentals of blacksmithing by using clay as a substitute for iron or steel, and by getting to test out different methods and molding and shaping the clay on the anvil they will come to appreciate the significance of this historic craft.
