11 a.m. - Erasmo Seguín, A Neglected Texas Founding Father

Remembered now mostly as the father of Texas Revolution Tejano military leader Juan Seguín, Erasmo also played a pivotal role in the development of Mexican Texas. Among his various contributions was his service as Texas's representative at the constitutional congress in Mexico City that created the Federal Constitution of 1824. This talk, focusing on Erasmo Seguín, emphasizes the role of Tejanos in the formative period of Texas's modern history.
