Arts & Crafts at Wellington Chew!
Starting May 12th, Tuesdays in May will be filled with creativity and artistic expression. Following the example of Octavia “Tia” Magoffin Glasgow and her activism in teaching visual arts, Educator Machelle Wood will be at the Wellington Chew Senior Center to teach an art class using multimedia techniques. Each one-and-a-half-hour class will focus on one media until the final class, on May 26th, where each participant will have a complete work of art to take home.
If you are over the age of 55 and wish to participate, please contact Wellington Chew at (915) 212-0423 to sign up.
If you wish to volunteer as an assistant, please email Machelle at machelle.wood@thc.texas.gov.
