190th Anniversary of the Goliad Declaration of Independence!

Living Historians will be recreating the signing of the first Texas Declaration 190 years to the day on the same spot as the original signers! This event is part of the Presidio La Bahia 190th Series commemorating the 190th Anniversary of the Texas War for Independence. 

Schedule of events: 

11am: Presentation of the Goliad Declaration's Place in the War for Texas Independence at in Our Lady of Loreto Chapel. 

1pm: Living History Recreation of the signing of the Goliad Declaration of Independence in Our Lady of Loreto Chapel. We invite the public in attendance to sign this document. 

Immediately following the Declaration program will be the inaugural flag raising on the new Texas Independence Flagpole in the middle of the Presidio Plaza. 

3pm: Encore Presentation of the Goliad Declaration's Place in the War for Texas Independence.
